The protection of staff and students at schools, TAFE Colleges and Universities is a daunting responsibility and duty of care.
Following shooting incidents both locally and overseas there is a growing need to ensure that effective measures to combat such incidents are becoming more and more critical - yet the open physical environment in which Schools, Colleges and Universities operate, complicates the process.
Today with the increase in overseas students, the need to ensure that both pre-emptive and responsive planning is based on a multi-cultural approach is essential.

The Unit is headed by a former senior TAFE College Administrator with over 20 years experience in the management of tertiary colleges. Our Forensic Psychiatrist consults to a number of Law Enforcement Agencies throughout Australia, is a leading hostage negotiator and an expert in behavioural profiling.
Each member has been chosen as they represent leaders in their chosen field, have worked in violent environments and educational facilities.
In essence, the company is able to:
- Review and comment on existing policies, procedures and emergency manuals particularly as they relate to threats and acts of violence
- Test existing practices including lockdown procedures, alerts and emergency responses
- Coordinate and conduct simulated exercises to test the effectiveness of existing procedures and measures
- Provide psychological profiling
- Train key staff to fulfil emergency and response responsibilities effectively
- Provide media support and training
- Assist the facility in managing a potential incident
- Compile and document policies, procedures and emergency manuals
In essence the company is able to provide both a strategic and tactical advice and service to major schools, TAFE colleges and Universities.
